Nationwide Compensation Analysis
for Warehousing Roles

The case study demonstrates the ability to deliver comprehensive compensation analysis across multiple regions, helping clients optimize their strategies for attracting and retaining talent. By leveraging a wide range of data sources and conducting thorough field surveys, PRODENSA provided the client with high-quality, representative data that informed strategic decision-making.
Overview
A German food and beverage manufacturing company needed to evaluate the compensation for personnel across 22 locations in Mexico, focusing on their distribution centers. The objective was to design a competitive compensation strategy that would enhance their ability to attract and retain talent in diverse regions across the country. To achieve this, the CLIENT engaged PRODENSA to conduct a comprehensive compensation analysis over a three‑month period, focusing on salaries, benefits, and HR best practices.
Project Stages

CLIENT Needs Analysis
PRODENSA began by conducting an in‑depth analysis of the CLIENT’s needs, focusing on the specific requirements for their distribution centers across Mexico. This stage involved understanding the CLIENT’s goals in terms of compensation competitiveness and the unique challenges presented by different regions.

Survey Design & Companies Identification
Based on the needs analysis, PRODENSA designed a tailored survey to gather data from relevant companies across Mexico. The survey was intended to capture a wide range of compensation elements, including salaries, benefits, bonuses, and overall HR practices. Companies were identified based on their relevance to the CLIENT’s industry and regional presence.

Data Gathering & Benchmarking
Gathering representative data from 22 diverse regions across Mexico posed a significant challenge, particularly in less populated or unique areas. PRODENSA addressed this by conducting field surveys with both active and inactive workers in the warehousing sector. Additionally, data was gathered from in‑house recruitment databases, surveys, and online vacancies. This comprehensive approach ensured that the data collected was both broad and representative.

Data Processing & Analysis
The collected data was meticulously processed and analyzed, benchmarking the 752 identified companies against one another. This analysis provided a detailed understanding of compensation practices in each region, highlighting not only salary levels but also benefits, bonuses, and other critical compensation factors.

Report Elaboration & Presentation
The final stage involved compiling the findings into a comprehensive report, which was presented to the CLIENT’s Corporate Compensation team. The report offered actionable insights that allowed the CLIENT to evaluate and adjust their nationwide compensation strategy to better address the challenges of attraction and retention, particularly in regions where these issues were most acute.
Challenges & Solutions
- Gathering Representative Data Across Diverse Regions: The uniqueness of certain regions made it difficult to gather representative data that reflected local practices.
- Solution: PRODENSA conducted extensive field surveys and leveraged various data sources, including active and inactive workers, to ensure a comprehensive and accurate dataset.
Project Outcome
PRODENSA successfully gathered and analyzed compensation data from 752 companies across Mexico, providing the CLIENT with a clear benchmark of regional practices. The analysis covered not only salaries but also benefits, bonuses, and other compensation factors, giving the CLIENT a detailed understanding of the competitive landscape. Armed with this information, the CLIENT’s Corporate Compensation team was able to refine their nationwide compensation strategy, addressing specific challenges in talent attraction and retention across different regions.
